KARACHI: The District and Sessions Judge South, following the special court’s directives, has issued a notice to Defence Housing Authority (DHA) for confiscation of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf’s property.

The notice delivered to the DHA states that a report should be submitted within three days after confiscation of three bungalows and a plot owned by Musharraf.

The properties, to be seized according to the court ruling, are a house on Zamzama Street, two houses in DHA Phase 8 and a plot in Army Housing Scheme, Clifton.

The notice issued under Section 88 of Pakistan Penal Code has been received by the DHA. The dispatcher said the DHA authorities had been directed that under the special court’s directives, the DHA should submit a report within three days after confiscation of the property.

The three-member Special Court formed to try Musharraf in a high treason case has ordered to confiscate his property.

Musharraf left the country on March 18 soon after the Supreme Court upheld the Sindh High Court directives to remove his name from the exit control list.
