KARAK: A complete shutdown strike was observed in the district against the excessive loadshedding, low gas pressure, shortage of drinking water and other amenities on the call of Rabita Committee Karak city.
A protest sit-in was also staged outside the office of the deputy commissioner despite Section 144 had been imposed by the district administration late night. Hundreds of protesters marched on various roads and gathered at Karak city. They later went to the offices of deputy commissioner. The traders also observed shutdown in the district headquarters.
Addressing the protesters, the speakers including Khursheed Khattak, Maulana Mirzaqeem, and others condemned the non-provision and shortage of basic amenities to the people in the district.
“Every birthday is a reminder of what happened that day,” Lydia said in an impact statement read in court
The directive highlighted the adverse impact of loadshedding on students’ performance during exams
