Durrani meets head of Russian Trade Department
ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister Mohammad Ali Durrani held a meeting with Denis Nevzorov, the newly appointed head of the Russian Federation’s Trade Department in Pakistan.
He conveyed best wishes from the people of Pakistan to Russian President Vladimir Putin and congratulated Denis Nevzorov on his new assignment in Islamabad.
They also agreed on the need to enhance people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Russia.
Durrani welcomed potential Russian investment in Pakistan Steel Mills as they discussed the importance of bilateral cooperation in trade, agriculture, and economic development. He said the strengthening of Pakistan-Russia relations holds great significance for promoting peace, balance, and economic growth not only in the region but also globally. He highlighted that Pakistan could benefit from Russian technology and innovation in the agricultural sector.
Denis Nevzorov appreciated Durrani’s vision for fostering stronger ties between the two nations and reiterated Russia’s desire to expand trade relations with Pakistan. He was officially appointed as Head of the Russian Trade Department in Pakistan by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on July 11.
