Three children die as metal gate collapses on them
LALAMUSA: Three children died while three others sustained injuries when a gate and a wall collapsed on them at Gandra within the jurisdiction of Rehmania police on Monday.According to initial reports, the children, belonging to nomadic families, were playing near a large metal gate of a private mansion owned by a local resident Shafqat Ali. Witnesses stated that the children were hanging and swinging on the gate when suddenly the gate and an adjoining wall collapsed on them. As a result, Rani Bibi, Kamran and Sajid were killed on the spot while Dilawar Khan, Saeed Khan and Arif Khan sustained injuries and rushed to a hospital.

He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was not just a leader of Pakistan but was a global icon who stood fearlessly against dictatorship and extremism. Her sacrifice was a symbol of resistance, resilience, and hope for democracy, he added.
Highlighting the historical contributions of the Bhutto family, he stated that no other political dynasty in the country’s history had offered such tremendous sacrifices.“The Bhutto family watered the foundations of our beloved homeland with their blood. Pakistan’s defence was strong today because of their unforgettable services,” he said.
He emphasised that the PPP continues its journey of public service and democratic struggle under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.“The mission of services and sacrifice initiated by former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and carried forward by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was alive even today in the vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,” he added.
