ISLAMABAD: Pakistan boys’ 12 & Under team delivered a stellar performance in the ATF 12 & Under Team competition of South Asia in Colombo (Sri Lanka), defeating arch-rival India 2-0 in the semi-final.
Pakistan will now play against the host nation, Sri Lanka, in the final.
Pakistan’s journey to the final has been remarkable and dominant, showcasing their rising potential in junior tennis. The team secured consecutive victories in the group stage -- defeated Maldives 3-0, outplayed Bangladesh 3-0 and then prevailed over Nepal 3-0.
In the semi-final clash against India, the boys delivered a commanding performance, winning 2-0 and booking their spot in the championship match. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), extended heartfelt congratulations to the team on their magnificent achievement.
