LAHORE:Mainly stable trend in the prices of perishable items has been recorded this week but consumers didn’t benefit from this trend due to massive overcharging by the sellers.
Now it has become a norm that the public didn’t get benefit from the lowering prices of perishable items as the administration does not bother to implement official prices. The prices of seasonal vegetables are on decline due to the hard weather and peak production time. But the public even at this time are compelled to pay 50 to 100 percent higher than the official rates.
This week the rate of live chicken was unchanged at Rs397-411 per kg, while the seller didn’t sale live chicken but the chicken meat was sold at Rs570-680 per kg and chicken boneless at Rs900-1050 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin A-grade was unchanged at Rs45-50 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg, B-grade gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs40-45 per kg and C-grade at Rs32-35 per kg, mixed sold at Rs60-70 per kg. The price of potato sugar free was fixed at RsA-grade at Rs35-40, B-grade 32-35 and C-grade at Rs27-30 per kg, mixed sold at Rs60-70 per kg.
The price of onion A-grade was unchanged at Rs30-35 per kg, sold at Rs80 per kg, B-grade at Rs27-30 per kg, and C-grade at Rs22-25 per kg, mixed sold at Rs50-60 per kg. The price of tomato A-grade was also unchanged at Rs30-35 per kg, sold at Rs80-120 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs27-30 per kg, and C-grade at Rs22-25 per kg, mixed sold at Rs50-60 per kg.
The price of garlic local new was reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs180-190 per kg, sold at Rs250-300 per kg, Garlic China by Rs50 per kg, fixed at Rs285-300 per kg, sold at Rs500 per kg. Garlic Harani by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs210-220 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg.
The price of both Ginger Thai and Chinese gained by Rs90 per kg, fixed at Rs610-640 per kg, both sold at Rs800-1000 per kg. Cucumber Farm unchanged at Rs47-50 per kg, sold at Rs60-80 per kg, cucumber local was fixed at Rs52-55 per kg, sold at Rs120-130 per kg.
Brinjal price unchanged at Rs66-70 per kg, sold at Rs100-140 per kg. Biter gourd reduced by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs57-60 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg.
The price Spinach reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs23-25 at Rs60-80 per kg. Zucchini gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs114-120 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg. The lemon local was declined by Rs70 per kg, fixed at Rs467-490 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg.
Pumpkin was gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs57-60 per kg, sold at Rs80-140 per kg. Sweet pumpkin was unchanged at Rs28-30 per kg, sold at Rs60-80 per kg.
Lady finger was further reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs124-130 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg. Arum was gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs176-185 per kg, sold at Rs250-300 per kg.
Luffa was further declined by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs71-75 per kg, sold at Rs100-130 per kg. Green chili unchanged at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg.
Capsicum price was further increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 per kg, sold at Rs120-150 per kg.
Price of cauliflower was increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs105-110 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg, and cabbage was unchanged at 28-30 per kg, sold at Rs120-150 per kg.
Carrot Chinese unchanged at Rs47-50 per kg, sold at Rs200-250 per kg. Pea price unchanged at Rs181-190 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg. Beetroot was sold at Rs300 per kg. Coriander was sold at Rs80 per bundle.
The price of different variety of apples further gained by Rs25 per kg fixed at Rs230-390 per kg, sold at Rs300-800 per kg. The price of Banana A-category gained by Rs10 per dozen, fixed at Rs197-220 per dozen, sold at Rs280-350 per dozen, and B-category fixed at Rs134-150 dozen, sold at Rs200-230 per dozen. C-grade was fixed at Rs90-100 per dozen, sold at Rs150-180 per dozen.
Dates were unchanged at Rs430-460 per kg, sold at Rs900 to 2000 per kg. Papaya gained by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs286-300 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg. Melon was gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs55-100 per kg, sold at Rs130-150 per kg. Watermelon was further gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs43-45 per kg, sold at Rs60-100 per kg. Cantaloupe was reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs120-160 per kg.
Peach was gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs140-190 per kg, sold at Ra 150-300 per kg. Phalsa was further increased by Rs50 per kg, fixed at Rs267-280 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg. Apricot yellow unchanged at Rs158-165 per kg, sold at Rs250 per kg, Apricot white was reduced by Rs45 per kg, fixed at Rs210-220 per kg, sold at Rs300-400 per kg.
Mangoes of the different varieties were fixed at Rs150-250 per kg, sold at Rs200-400 per kg.
Chery box was fixed at Rs285-300, sold at Rs400-450 per box.
Plump was reduced by Rs100 per kg, fixed at Rs335-350 per kg, sold at Rs450-500 per kg.
