Business leaders hail General Asim Munir’s elevation to Field Marshal
LAHORE: The business community on Tuesday extended warm congratulations to Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir on his elevation to the rank of Field Marshal, the highest military designation in Pakistan.
Former SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Iftikhar Ali Malik praised General Munir’s outstanding leadership and steadfast dedication to national defence. He described the promotion as a well-earned recognition of General Munir’s strategic insight, valour, and successful efforts in defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Malik noted that the chief of army staff has played a vital role in protecting national interests and maintaining peace and stability across the region. He added that under General Munir’s command, the Pakistan Army has upheld operational excellence and earned public trust through its professionalism and patriotic service.
Meanwhile, SM Tanveer, patron-in-chief of the United Business Group (UBG), also extended congratulations to General Munir on his elevation.
Tanveer expressed confidence that General Munir’s continued leadership would play a pivotal role in shaping Pakistan’s future. He said the business community remains committed to working alongside national leadership to foster economic growth and development.“As we celebrate this milestone, we reaffirm our resolve to help transform Pakistan into an economic powerhouse, akin to the Asian Tigers,” Tanveer added. “With strategic planning, innovative policies and collaborative efforts, we believe that remarkable progress is within reach.”
