LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday paid surprise visits to different areas of Lahore to inspect progress on the Lahore Development Plan.
People congratulated her on the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos while the chief minister raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. She said: “I myself wanted to pay a visit to different areas so as to inspect the condition of streets and roads of Lahore. I feel profound rejoice to serve the citizens.”
Also, Maryam Nawaz condemned the murder of four innocent tanker drivers in the Noshki area. She expressed sympathies to the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Maryam Nawaz, schools across Punjab held ceremonies of thanksgiving and solidarity with the Pakistan Army. Educational institutions across Punjab celebrated the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. Students carried pictures of the army chief and marched in uniform.
They also paid tribute to the brave pilots of Pakistan Air Force. Provincial ministers led student rallies in different districts and raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistan Army Zindabad.
