Army, civil delegation visits Barila Sharif to honour martyrs
LALAMUSA: Lieutenant Colonel Akbar of the Pakistan Army, Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Safdar Hussain, and District Police Officer Mustansir Atta Bajwa visited Barila Sharif on Tuesday.
The high-level delegation met with the families of those martyred during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and extended heartfelt support to injured civilians. The delegation offered prayers for the martyrs.
“Our martyrs are the pride of the nation. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. It is because of their bravery that Pakistan stands tall today,” said DC Safdar Hussain while addressing the families of the fallen. In a moving gesture, financial assistance was distributed to the families of the martyrs on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and the Armed Forces. The delegation also visited injured civilians and praised their courage. “Your spirit is unmatched. The Pakistan Armed Forces will continue to stand by you in every possible way—through care, rehabilitation, and support,” said Lieutenant Colonel Akbar during his interaction with the wounded.
District Police Officer Mustansir Atta Bajwa highlighted the unity between citizens and the armed forces, stating, “Today, more than ever, the nation stands united in our commitment to defend our country.”
