Tribute to late Khudai Khidmatgar

TIMERGARA: Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Mian Iftikhar Hussain and the party’s central general secretary Salim Khan on Friday paid tribute to Khudai Khidmatgar Mian Jamal Shah Yousafzai, who passed away a day before. Both visited Malakabad at Balambat village in Lower Dir district to offer condolences on the death of Mian Jamal, who was a party worker and poet as well.

Mian Jamal died of cancer on Thursday after a long battle of over a year and was laid to rest in his native graveyard. Mian Iftikhar Hussain paid rich tribute to the deceased, highlighting his efforts for Pakhtun unity. He said that Jamal Shah’s poetry preached love and unity, reflecting his commitment to the ideology of Bacha Khan.

The ANP leader described Jamal Shah as a true follower of Bacha Khan and a dedicated Khudai Khidmatgar. The deceased was the brother of Shah Faisal Yousafzai Advocate, a former president of the District Bar Association, Timergara and uncle of Jehan Alam Yousafzai, president of Yousafzai Jirga, and Sajad Khan Yousafzai, ANP Lower Dir senior vice-president, Ali Bakht Yousafzai and brother-in-law of Shahid Hussain Yousafzai, correspondent of Daily The News International.
