UNITED NATIONS: The declaration of Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) has become part of UN Security Council record.

The current President of UNSC has issued the statement of the meeting of Pakistan NSC on April 24 as an official document of UN Security Council.

The action was taken at the request of Pakistan’s Ambassador to UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed. The statement of NSC will now be available to 15 member states of Security Council and 193 member states of UN as an official document of UNSC.

The declaration was included in the record of UNSC under the title India-Pakistan Question. The inclusion of NSC statement in the UN record will be used as Pakistan’s national position in UNSC and other international organisations. India, on the other hand, may distort and use this declaration for its propaganda purposes.
