Journalist robbed in Gulshan
Cases of theft inside vehicles have increased within the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police’s limits, as a day before Eid, a journalist was deprived of his Rs300,000 that were kept in a car.
The cash was stolen from the car of the brother of crime reporter and former secretary of the Crime Reporters Association Rehan Chishti. Despite having CCTV footage and a picture of the suspect, the police could not track him down. Gulshan-e-Iqbal SHO Iqbal Naeem Rajput said the police were making efforts to arrest the thief. Chishti said that a day before Eid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 5, a suspect arrived on a motorcycle wearing a blue coat and a cap similar to those of security agencies. He committed the crime fearlessly at 12 noon in broad daylight. The suspect also stole valuable items including the speedometer, gearbox cover, automatic button, dash boot cover and AC cover.
