Alleged facilitator of terrorists killed

KOHAT: An alleged facilitator of terrorists was killed in an encounter with police in the suburban area of Reggi Shinokhel in Kohat, while a search operation was launched to apprehend other militants.

According to Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat, Abbas Majeed Marwat, the operation was launched based on an intelligence report on the presence of terrorists in Reggi Shinokhel.Kohat District Police Officer Zahidullah Khan led the raid along with a heavy police contingent and security forces. During the raid, terrorists opened fire on the police, prompting retaliation.

In the exchange of fire, Shahzaib - a proclaimed offender and facilitator of terrorists - was killed. He was wanted in several criminal cases. Weapons were recovered from the slain facilitator.The RPO said that Shahzaib had a long and serious criminal record and had been involved in multiple grave offenses over the past several years.
