LAHORE:Pakistani student Hassam Naeem, originally from Lahore, has been re-elected as the Vice President of Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union (QMSU) for a second consecutive term.
Hassam secured victory against Indian candidate Zaid, who received 1,009 votes in the initial round, while Hassam maintained a lead with 1,228 votes. By the fifth round, Hassam’s vote count increased to 1,259, confirming his win.
The Queen Mary Students’ Union represents over 33,000 students, playing a crucial role in addressing their academic, social, and welfare concerns.During his previous term, Hassam worked on several impactful projects, including securing £2.2 million (approximately Rs840 million) in scholarships for international students.
