PA speaker stresses political stability

LAHORE:Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Malik M Ahmad Khan Friday underscored the need for political stability in the country.

Talking to reporters outside the PA, he said the people who are making efforts for ensuring stability in the country, should appreciated. He said, "People know well as who are creating instability in the country. He said it was very unfortunate that narrative which fans unrest and chaos get popular. The PA speaker said the Punjab CM is working on 84 big development projects in the province. He said the country and its armed forces had rendered great sacrifices in war against terrorism, adding that acknowledgment of these sacrifices by US President Donald Trump was a positive development. Regarding KP situation, the speaker said restoration of law and order was the basic responsibility of KP govt. He urged the KP CM to sit with security institutions and sort out effective solution of security situation.

Message on Women’s Day

PA Speaker, in his special message on the occasion of International Women's Day, stated that this day is dedicated to recognising the abilities, sacrifices, and contributions of women. Women play a crucial role in the development and stability of any society, and a prosperous and balanced society is unimaginable without them.

He emphasised that Islam is the greatest protector of women's rights, granting them honor, equality, and equal rights fourteen hundred years ago. Islam has given paradise under the feet of mothers, daughters the status of mercy, and sisters the rank of honour. According to Islamic teachings, women are fully encouraged and given complete freedom to play a positive role in all walks of life.
