PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Faisal Javed permission to travel for Umrah, directing the relevant authorities to temporarily remove his name from the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) and Exit Control List (ECL).A two-member bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Sabitullah heard his petition.
Faisal Javed was represented by Advocate Alam Khan Adenzai, who argued that his client’s name had been included in the PNIL, preventing him from traveling for Umrah.
During the hearing, Justice Sahibzada Asadullah inquired from Assistant Attorney General Rahat Ali whether the federal government had submitted its response.
