Constable shot dead in Chuhng

LAHORE:A case of murder and robbery has been registered following the killing of a head constable in Chuhng.

The incident occurred when the victim Qurban Ali, reportedly gave a lift to an unknown man near Safari Park. According to the FIR filed by the victim’s father, the suspect fired two shots—one on the ground and another on the constable’s chest—resulting in his instant death. The accused then fled the scene, taking the victim’s motorcycle and other belongings.

Police have launched an investigation and are working to identify and apprehend the suspect. Police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area and seeking potential witnesses to aid in the investigation.

Man hit to death by tractor trolley

A man was hit to death by a speeding tractor trolley on Ferozepur Road within the jurisdiction of Su-e-Asal police chowki.The victim, who was unidentified so far, was reportedly crossing the road on foot when the tractor trolley, being driven recklessly at high speed, struck him. He died on the spot. Eyewitnesses said the driver of the tractor trolley fled the scene. Body was transferred to the morgue.

Motorcyclist perishes in accident

A 22-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run accident in the Baghbanpura area. The victim, identified as Hasnain, was critically injured when a speeding vehicle struck him and fled the scene without stopping.

Eyewitnesses reported that Hasnain suffered severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Upon receiving information, the police reached the scene, took possession of the body, and shifted it to the morgue. Police have launched an investigation and are making efforts to trace the driver responsible for the fatal accident.
