PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Saturday said the government was committed to bringing the perpetrators of suicide bombing at Darul Uloom Haqqania to justice.

An official handout said that he visited the Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak to offer his condolences on the martyrdom of JUIS chief Maulana Hamidul Haq.

Addressing a gathering of Ulema, madrassa students and people from all walks of life, Saif described Maulana Hamidul Haq as not only a close friend but a brother, with whom he shared a deep and longstanding relationship.

Condemning the attack, he said that it was not just an assault on an individual or a seminary but an attack on Islam.

Representing the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saif assured the gathering that the government was committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

“The chief minister has directed law-enforcement agencies to launch an investigation. We will track down those responsible and ensure they face justice” he affirmed.

He also called for the community’s cooperation in supporting the authorities’ efforts.

He emphasized that such acts of terrorism aimed to create fear, sow division, and weaken the unity of the Muslims.

“Our enemies want to instill fear and break our unity, but our response should be one of unwavering faith, strength, and togetherness.

We must stand firm against terrorism and demonstrate that their cowardly acts cannot shake our belief or brotherhood,” he asserted.

Saif urged political and religious factions to put aside their differences and unite against the menace of terrorism.

“This is not a fight against an individual or a political party; this is a fight against those who seek to destroy our faith, our institutions, and our peace. We must stand united for only through unity can we defeat this evil.”

Reflecting on his recent visit to the seminary, Saif recalled his meetings with Maulana Hamidul Haq and other scholars, lamenting the sudden and tragic nature of his passing.

“Life is unpredictable, and death is the ultimate truth. It is our faith as Muslims that Allah alone decides our time. However, as human beings, we feel pain, loss, and sorrow when we lose those close to us,” he stated. Saif prayed for the martyrs, extended his condolences to their families, and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to protect religious institutions and scholars.
