PTI workers rally for Imran’s release
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in Peshawar staged a protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly building to demand the release of their party founder Imran Khan.
Though the party had announced their protest a few days ago and urged the PTI workers to participate in the rally being held for the release of the party’s founding chairman, this time a small group of around 300 activists attended the demonstration.
There was no prominent party leader in the protest rally, apparently due to differences among certain PTI leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The protesters carried party flags, banners and posters inscribed with slogans demanding the release of Imran Khan. The protesting PTI workers and activists remained there for some time and then dispersed.
