PTV beat OGDCL by 6 wickets
KARACHI: PTV defeated OGDCL by 6 wickets on the last day of the eighth round of the President’s Trophy Grade One match on Saturday.
The other two matches were drawn.
At the NBP Sports Complex, PTV were given a target of 255 runs to win against OGDCL, which they achieved for the loss of four wickets. Muhammad Shahzad played an innings of 69 runs with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Taimur Khan remained unbeaten on 32 runs.
Eshal Associates were given a target of 490 runs to win against KRL at the State Bank Stadium. They started their second innings at 23 runs with one batter out and at the end of the game, they had scored 277 runs for 6 wickets. Abdullah Shafiq scored 75. Abdul Rehman scored 64. And Abdul Wahid scored 62 runs. Sajid Khan took three wickets.
Chasing a target of 350 runs against Wapda at the KCCA Stadium, Higher Education Commission scored 130 runs for one wicket. Ali Taj scored 65 and Mohsin Khan remained unbeaten on 59 runs. Earlier, Wapda declared their second innings at 412 runs for 7 wickets. The ninth and final round of the President’s Trophy will begin on February 25.
