Kecmanovic reaches Delray Beach ATP final
MIAMI: Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic reached the final of the ATP´s Delray Beach Open with a 7-6 (7/3), 6-3 win over American Alex Michelsen on Saturday.
Kecmanovic will face either fourth-seeded Italian Matteo Arnaldi or eighth-seeded Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in Sunday´s final. The 25-year-old Serbian will be playing in his fifth tour level final -- his sole title came at Kitzbuhel in 2020 and he was a finalist at Delray Beach in 2023.
In bright sunshine, Kecmanovic bounced back from wasting two set points when serving at 6-5 in the first set to eventually win the tie-break. In the second set he saved both break points he faced to advance after 90 minutes.
Davidovich faces Arnaldi later on Saturday after upsetting home favorite Taylor Fritz, ending the American´s bid for a third straight title at the South Florida event.
