Islamabad:The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and the Sadequain Foundation, USA have joined hands to present an exclusive exhibition, film screening, and panel discussion in honour of the legendary artist Sadequain, marking his 38th death anniversary.
The exhibition was inaugurated by distinguished guests, including Oksana Petriaieva, first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine; Rehmat Hindiarta Kusuma, ambassador of Indonesia; Avazbek Atakhanov, ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic in Turkmen Embassy; and M. Ayoub Jamali, director general of PNCA.
A carefully curated selection of Sadequain’s masterpieces, including murals, paintings, and marble works from the National Art Gallery’s permanent collection, is on display, offering visitors a glimpse into the genius of one of Pakistan’s most celebrated artists. The exhibition stands as a tribute to Sadequain’s immense contributions to the world of art and his lasting impact on Pakistani culture.
As part of the event, a special screening of ‘Raaz-e-Fun’, a documentary on Sadequain’s life and artistic journey, was held. The film, written, narrated, and directed by award-winning writer and director Waseem Amrohavi, takes viewers through Sadequain’s early years, his artistic evolution, and his rise to international prominence.
