ISLAMABAD: It has been decided to make foolproof security arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The federal government has decided to deploy the Pakistan Army and Rangers for the security of Champions Trophy.
According to government sources, the approval for the deployment of Pakistan Army and Rangers has been obtained from the federal cabinet. The Pakistan Army will be deployed under Article 245 of the Constitution. The deployment of Pakistan Army and Rangers will be under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. The ICC Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 and continue till March 9.
