Women more aware of divorce incidents than men
An analysis of survey reveals women are more aware of divorce incidents among family and acquaintances

KARACHI: One in five Pakistanis is aware of someone among his family or friends got divorced in the last six months.
This was revealed by a Gallup Pakistan survey in which more than 400 people from across the country participated.
To the question, “Have you heard of a divorce in the last six months among your family or acquaintances”, 20 percent of Pakistanis surveyed answered in the affirmative.
Seventy-seven percent said they had not heard of any such incident. Three percent refrained from giving any opinion.
An analysis of the survey reveals women are more aware of divorce incidents among family and acquaintances. Twenty-two percent of women said they were aware of divorce incidents, while this rate was 19pc among men.
