Man from Dera Ismail Khan killed, brother injured

A man from Dera Ismail Khan was shot dead, and his brother was injured early Monday morning in Mahmoodabad’s Azam Town.

The two men, 26-year-old Musqatullah and his brother Zabihullah, had come to Karachi for their cousin's wedding and were staying at a relative’s house. Both run a hotel back home in Dera Ismail Khan.

The shooting happened while other family members were asleep. They woke up to the sound of gunshots and found Musqatullah dead and Zabihullah wounded. Police said the attack seemed to have been personal because nothing was stolen, and it looked like just one gunman was involved. Empty shells from a 30-bore pistol were found at the scene. Police are searching for CCTV footage and continuing their investigation.
