Naqvi hopes for better Pak-US ties under Trump
Interior minister congratulates US senators, Congress members on assumption of office by President Donald Trump
WASHINGTON: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday hoped that a new chapter in Pak-US relations would begin during President Donald Trump’s tenure. He reiterated good wishes for the people of America.
Attending a special dinner reception at the Lincoln Liberty Hall in Washington during his visit to the United States, he interacted with Senator Tommy Tuberville, Member of Congress Ken Calvert, former British prime minister Liz Truss and Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant. During the meetings, matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations were discussed.
Naqvi was warmly welcomed at the event. He congratulated US senators and Congress members on assumption of the office by President Donald Trump. He said today was a historic day for America, as the American people loved Trump. He said he witnessed US citizens celebrating Trump’s presidency in a grand manner.
