SCBA president meets CJP
SCBA representatives express gratitude to CJP and all the other judges for their favourable consideration of lawyers’ concern
ISLAMABAD: Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), met with Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi on Tuesday to discuss matters related to the early fixation of cases involving urgency and stay applications.
He was accompanied by General Secretary Salman Mansoor and Additional Secretary Muhammad Aurangzeb Khan. The delegation also met with judges, including Justice Jamal Mandokhail, Mrs. Justice Ayesha Malik, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan. During the meeting, the chief justice graciously accepted the demands of SCBA and confirmed that all matters of an urgent nature, including bail applications, would be fixed on an expedited basis.
It was emphasized that applications should clearly state the urgency and include supporting documents as evidence. The SCBA representatives expressed their gratitude to the chief justice and all the other judges for their favourable consideration of the lawyers’ concern, according to a press release issued by the SCBA.
