KP PTI on war path with federation: Kundi
MULTAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has held the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) KP government responsible for the growing rise in terrorism due to a lack of priorities towards resolution of problems. He said the KP PTI government is a shameful failed experiment and focuses on war against the federation instead of solving issues of the common man.
He was talking to the South Punjab Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) delegation that met him under the leadership of South Punjab PPP president former Punjab Governor Syed Ahmed Mehmood, South Punjab PPP Chief Coordinator Abdul Qadir Shaheen and Irfan Gardezi.
The delegation discussed the political situation with the KP Governor. Kundi said that due to the poor performance of the current PTI-led government in KP, the law and order situation has deteriorated. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa want peace, but the Chief Minister of the chaotic group is making the people suffer from a situation like insecurity. Standing up and shouting in the assembly will not solve the problems of the masses. Practical steps are needed to solve the problems instead of shooting films.
He added that as the governor, he started practical steps for the distribution of resources in the province as per the 1991 agreement. As per the wishes of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto, bringing prosperity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is among his top priorities.
He added that the current year in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been more bloodthirsty than last year. The martyrdom of more than 70 security personnel is a matter of concern. More than 200 precious lives were lost in the fire of sectarian riots in Kurram, which shows that Gandapur is a completely unsuccessful Chief Minister as the provincial government is in a crisis situation and failing. He said he wants a performance audit of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Kundi said: “Politics should be limited to politics. For the improvement of law and resources in the province, unity is essential to deliver a clear message.”
South Punjab PPP president Syed Ahmed Mahmood and Abdul Qadir Shaheen praised Kundi, noting his leadership in addressing real issues like crime. They commended his ability to foster peace and highlighted that the PPP focuses on national development and public prosperity.
