SUKKUR: Kashmore-Kandhkot Police on Monday arrested seven members of an inter-provincial gang involved in supplying weapons to the Katcha bandits and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition.
Kashmore-Kandhkot SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi said that in the limits of B-Section Police Station, the police intercepted a truck that was moving towards the Katcha areas. Upon search, the police recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including 12,000 bullets, four G-3 rifles, four SMG rifles, one M4 A1 rifle and two pistols along with magazines, the SSP added.
He said the arrested gangsters included Ali Bakhsh Gabol, Abdul Shakoor Gabol, Farman Ali Malik, Awais Ahmed Abro, Abdul Qadir Abro, Mujahid Hussain Abro and Shahmeer Sabzoi, adding that upon investigation, they revealed that the weapons were being supplied from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the Katcha areas of Punjab and Sindh.
