12 cases registered over smog SOPs breach

LAHORE : Police intensified crackdown on smog-related violations across the province, registering 12 cases and arresting several violators within the past 24 hours.
Fines totaling approximately Rs8 million were imposed on 508 violators, while 31 individuals were issued warnings.
Violations of smog SOPs included three
instances of burning
crop residues and 408 cases involving smoky vehicles.
Over the past 24 hours, authorities issued
4,993 challans to smoke-emitting vehicles, impounded 346 vehicles, and suspended one fitness certificate.
