Last date for Haj applications extended till 10th
Minister says all Haj applications received from 18th of the last month till today (Tuesday) have been accepted
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has declared all the over 66,000 Haj applicants under the government Haj Scheme as successful.
This was announced in a statement of Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain here on Tuesday. Salik said all Haj applications received from 18th of the last month till today (Tuesday) have been accepted.
The minister also announced to extend the date for submitting the Haj applications till 10th of this month. He said balloting will be held if applications exceed the government’s quota. He said all the applications under the Sponsorship Scheme have also been approved without any balloting. Salik Hussain further said overseas Pakistanis should deposit the sponsorship fee by 10th of this month. The Haj application can be submitted through an online portal on the Ministry’s website.
