KHAR: A tribal malik and a police constable were martyred in two separate improvised explosive device (IED) explosions in various areas of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur tribal district on Saturday.
Local and official sources said the first explosion took place in the Irab area in the jurisdiction of Loy Mamond Police Station, where tribal elder Malik Asghar Khan was killed.
They said Malik Asghar belonged to the Kharaikhil tribe and was targeted with an improvised explosive device when he was on his way back after offering Fajr prayers.

Police officials have confirmed both the acts of terrorism, saying that investigation had been launched into the incidents. No militant group or individual has claimed responsibility for the subversive acts so far.
