LAHORE : Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel foiled an attempt to smuggle 2.4kg brown heroin on a Kuala Lumpur-bound flight from Lahore. According to details, ASF staff identified the presence of drugs in passenger Junaid Haider's luggage during routine inspection. The heroin was concealed within the inner layers of his bag, but ASF officers uncovered the hidden drugs through a meticulous search. Following initial interrogation, the suspect and the seized heroin were handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) authorities.

3,135 beggars arrested this year
The Lahore police have launched a vigorous campaign against habitual and criminal beggars, registering 3,086 cases and arresting 3,135 individuals this year.
This was stated by the spokesman for Lahore police in a statement on Saturday. He said that among those arrested, there were 3,029 men, 97 women and nine facilitators.
