Man shot dead in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: Unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle shot dead a man near the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway at Akbarpur village in the district.

Samiullah told the police that his brother Ikhtiarullah had gone to the graveyard to offer fateha at the grave of his mother. He said unidentified armed men opened fire on his brother when he was returning home, killing him on the spot. He said that his nephew, who was accompanying his father, sustained injuries in the firing.

The accused fled the scene after committing the crime. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.

The injured boy was taken to the Main Rashid Hussain Memorial Hospital in Pabbi town. The police started an investigation after registering the first information report.
