HAFIZABAD: The City Police on Sunday registered a case against a citizen on the charge of hurling abuses at President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to the FIR lodged at the City police station on the complaint of Muhammad Arshad Mahand, Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party, a man Zulfiqar Ali Butt hurled abuses at President Asif Ali Zardari on his birthday about 12 days ago.
When PPP worker Saqib stopped him from doing so, the accused hit him with his pistol’s grip and injured him, the FIR added. The City police registered an FIR against Zulfiqar Ali Butt, but he remained at large till the filing of this report.
