Families of 15 martyred cops given Rs9.5m for houses
LAHORE:IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has disbursed Rs9.5 million for the construction of houses for the families of 15 martyrs.
At a ceremony held at the Central Police Office, IGP gave away the final installment of Rs500,000 each to the families of seven martyrs. Previously, these families had received Rs2 million each in installments. Four families were given double installments of Rs1 million each for construction work, and another four families received Rs500,000 each.
Gaddafi Stadium security reviewed
IG Punjab chaired a meeting at the CPO to discuss Gaddafi Stadium security arrangements. Senior officials from the PCB, Nespak and Punjab police participated in the meeting. The proposals were reviewed during the meeting to align the protective fence between the spectators' enclosures and the ground boundary with a visually appealing design that adheres to security SOPs. IG said that redesigning the protective boundary fence would assist police officers in enhancing the security of players and spectators.
