Nespak now under Cabinet Division

ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the prime minister has approved the transfer of National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) from the Power Division to the Cabinet Division. This decision is in accordance with rule 3(3) of the Rules of Business, 1973.
The official memorandum, issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, Cabinet Division, outlines that all assets and liabilities of Nespak will now be under the purview of the Cabinet Division. The document further specifies that necessary changes will be made to Schedule-II of the Rules of Business, 1973, to formally reflect Nespak’s transfer to the Cabinet Division. Nespak, a leading engineering consultancy organization, plays a pivotal role in the infrastructure development of Pakistan. The transfer signifies a strategic move, consolidating the government’s control and oversight of key engineering services under the Cabinet Division.
