Govt sends names of its six members to Ayaz Sadiq

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq convened the Parliamentary Committee’s first meeting on Wednesday to finalise the ToRs of the proposed judicial commission on the PanamaLeaks. This was done after the government announced its six-member team for the committee on Monday.

The government has sent the names of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani, Federal Minister Senator Hasil Bizenjo and Minister of State for Information Technology Ms Anusha Rehman to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The opposition has already nominated Opposition Leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan, deputy parliamentary leader of the PTI in the National Assembly Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Senator Ilyas Bilour of the ANP, Sahibzada Tariqullah of Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif and Tariq Bashir Cheema of PML-Q for the Parliamentary Committee.The notification of the Parliamentary Committee is expected to be issued today (Tuesday).
