25th Men’s National 7s Rugby on August 10-11
LAHORE: The 25th Men’s Parco National 7s Rugby Championship, organised under the auspices of the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), is set to take place on August 10 and 11 at the Pakistan Rugby Academy in Lahore.
Sponsored by PARCO, the prestigious two-day event will feature teams of the four provinces, Islamabad, Army, WAPDA, Police, and HEC. According to Pakistan Rugby Union Secretary Salman Shaikh, the tournament will commence with league matches on the first day, followed by the semi-finals and finals on the second day.
Salman Shaikh highlighted the growing popularity of rugby in Pakistan, noting that the sport has established a strong structure and presence at the grassroots level in south Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Balochistan.
Shaikh expressed his gratitude to PARCO for sponsoring the championship, emphasizing the importance of support from multinational companies in promoting sports like rugby in Pakistan.
