CCPO reviews progress on pending cases

LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Monday reviewed the progress on pending cases and completion of pending road certificates.

He asked Circle Officers of Township, Defence and Gulshan Ravi to complete challans of cases and submit them in courts as soon as possible. The CCPO deputed DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Asghar to reduce pendency of cases to zero under his supervision. The CCPO emphasised the need for special attention to the timely completion of pending road certificates, electricity theft cases and outstanding case challans and wanted detention of those involved in electricity theft.

He instructed tightening the net around wanted criminals and directed effective investigations to bring criminal networks to justice. The CCPO mandated that cases involving women and children be handled on a priority and urged officers to focus on the quality of investigation. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that no lapse in providing justice to victims would be tolerated and highlighted the effective use of information technology to combat crimes and ensure justice for citizens. DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Asghar, SSP (Investigation) Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, Divisional SPs (Investigation), DSPs (Investigation) and Investigation in charges also attended the meeting.

15 panic button reunites two stranded kids with families

Panic button 15 in safety zone reunited two stranded children with their families. Eleven-year-old Muhammad Bilal and six-year-old Ali Hasan had lost their way home. They pressed the 15 panic button installed on Mall Road. A Virtual Patrolling Officer saw through the cameras that two children were wandering around. The children could be seen sitting helplessly on Mall Road. In the video, the children were seen trying to cross the road and sitting on sidewalk. A Safe City Officer immediately dispatched police to the location. The police promptly responded and took the children into protective custody.

The Safe City Virtual Center for Child Protection received a call on 15 from the children's families. Comparing the 15 call and camera footage, the families were informed about the children's location in the safety zone. The Safe City Virtual Center for Child Protection reunited the children with their families.More than 120 panic buttons have been activated at various locations in the provincial capital.
