Fauji Fertilizer posts EPS at Rs11.37
Company says its sales for the half year rose to Rs111.403 billion, compared with Rs80.928 billion a year earlier
KARACHI: Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) on Thursday reported an increase in profit against last year’s losses in its half-year earnings, due to an increase in sales.
In a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company reported a net profit of Rs15.9 billion for the six-month period that ended June 30, against the losses of Rs3.243 billion during the same period last year.
The company skipped any payout for the reported period. Earnings per share came in at Rs11.37, compared with losses per share of Rs2.97 a year ago.The company said its sales for the half year rose to Rs111.403 billion, compared with Rs80.928 billion a year earlier. The cost of sales also increased to Rs84.887 billion from Rs67.927 billion.
For the quarter that ended June 30, the company announced a net profit of Rs8.277 billion, up against Rs1.390 billion recorded during the same quarter last year. EPS for the quarter was recorded at Rs5.83 against Re0.79 per share.
