PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to remove the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai from the Exit Control List (ECL).
A two-member bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Khursheed Iqbal heard the petition of the former provincial minister, who was seeking the removal of his name from the ECL to travel abroad.
Additional Director (Legal) FIA Abdul Rahman Afridi also appeared in the court.Syed Sikandar Shah Advocate representing Shaukat Yousafzai told the bench that his client intended to visit the UK to meet his daughter but he was offloaded from the plane at the Islamabad International Airport. He said that earlier his client was not allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
