School takes environment friendly initiative

LAHORE:Punjab School Education Department (SED) Secretary Dr Ehtisham Anwar has started an action-based value-added initiative called Miyawaki Forest, which the Government Girls' Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Jallo More Lahore has successfully completed.
According to a press release, Principal Dr Effat Tahira, teachers, other staff and students completed this environment-friendly project promptly. To address the problems posed by climate change and advance environmental sustainability, organisations, particularly schools, must implement adaptation initiatives, green skills programmes, and nature-based learning to enhance opportunities for 25pc of a nation's land to be converted to forest, the statement concluded.
