SARGODHA: Provincial Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Thursday visited the district headquarters (DHQ) hospitals in Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar districts on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The minister inquired about the facilities being provided to patients at Mother and Child Hospital Mianwali and DHQ Hospitals Khushab and Bhakkar. He checked the stock of medicines in the hospitals and the attendance of doctors and paramedical staff. Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed also interacted with patients, who had come for check-up in the hospitals and inquired about the attitude of the hospital administration and the facilities being provided to them.
The minister commended the CEO Health and MS Hospital Khushab for maintaining excellent arrangements in the hospital and also appreciated the work of the local administration. Malik Sohaib Ahmed said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is committed to providing the best medical facilities to the people and excellent arrangements have been made in the health sector in the past few months. The minister further said that the infrastructure of hospitals and basic and rural health centres was being improved so that the infrastructure of medical buildings could be state-of-the-art. The government was committed to providing the best possible healthcare to the people of Punjab, he added.
‘Govt taking steps to solve people’s problems’: The federal government, led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is taking all measures to solve the problems of people and set the country on the road to development. It was claimed by PMLN Member National Assembly (MNA) Dr Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti while talking to the media on Thursday.
He said the government would ensure the prosperity and development of the country by starting various projects. Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti highlighted the government’s relentless efforts to combat inflation and reduce unemployment. “The PMLN had always been and would continue to be a beacon of prosperity for the country and nation,” he stated. The PMLN was the guarantor of the promotion of democratic values,” he added. “We have consistently played a pivotal role in safeguarding the rights of people and ensuring national security and development,” the MNA added.
Man wanted in two murder cases arrested: The district police have arrested a man wanted in two attempt-to-murder cases, according to a press release, issued by the Sargodha Police Public Relations Officer on Thursday. The accused, Mohsin, was wanted by Kot Momin Police Station in two cases. He was arrested during a raid conducted by a police team. A 30-bore illegal pistol, used in the incidents, was also recovered from the accused. A separate case was registered against the accused for possessing an illegal weapon. District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha Dr Asad Ejaz Malhi said the crackdown on criminal elements would continue.
