ISLAMABAD: As many as 63 percent of the retail shops of Pakistan have reported boycott of Israeli products by customers in context to their ongoing conflict with Palestine, Pulse latest survey reveals.
Interestingly, the trend of boycott was observed as the highest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa followed by Balochistan and Karachi respectively.
Overall, retailers in Punjab and lower Sindh reported a comparatively mild impact, whereas no boycott effect was reported in interior Sindh.
After tracking consumer sentiments, Pulse Consultant has revealed the impact of boycott campaign at retail level regarding the ongoing Palestine and Israel conflict.
The study was conducted in May-June, surveying over 2,000 roadside shops across socio-economic classes A-D areas in more than 25 cities of Pakistan.
At the national level, 22 percent of shops reported a ‘huge impact,’ while 41 percent reported a ‘somewhat impact.’ In total, 63 percent of shops experienced some degree of impact, revealed the survey.
The survey stated that the highest cumulative impact was observed in KP (95 percent), followed by Balochistan (78 percent) and Karachi (72 percent).
