PTI workers celebrate SC verdict in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members on Friday gathered at the Peshawar Press Club to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict of entitling their party to the seats reserved for women and minorities in the legislative assemblies.
The PTI workers reached the Sher Shah Suri Road in the afternoon, led by a local leader of the party, Irfan Saleem.They were carrying the PTI flags and raised slogans in support of party founder Imran Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Iran Saleem and others said the seats reserved for women and minorities were the right of the PTI.They said an injustice was done to the PTI in the last general elections by denying them the victory and later the reserved seats were denied to the party.The speakers hailed the apex court decision and said it had proved the stance of the PTI right.The PTI workers later offered thanksgiving prayer outside the Press Club.
