Police bust three gangs, dismantle ice seller network in Multan

MULTAN: City police arrested nine robbers from three gangs and dismantled an ice seller network in separate raids here.

Addressing a press conference here, CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar along with SSP Operations Multan Arsalan Zahid, SSP Investigation Multan Rana Muhammad Ashraf and SP City Division Hasan Raza Khaki said that Lohari Gate police arrested accused drug dealer Amjad from near Wahdat Colony. The seller, Umar alias Haseeb alias Muawiya, was called to Chowk Rashidabad to buy ice, he reached Rashidabad Chowk and was arrested with 800 grams of ice. The arrested accused made the revelation about the network during interrogation and police devised a scheme and called another accused drug peddler Bilal Sheikh at Ghanta Ghar through the already arrested accused Muawiya. Police arrested the drug peddler Bilal Sheikh when reached Ghanta Ghar. Police recovered 1,200 grams of ice.

Similarly, another drug peddler accused Faizan who was working in the same network was arrested near Ghanta Ghar Chowk and 200 Gram-ice was recovered which identified another accused working in this network, Munir alias Jadoo, who is being raided for his arrest, police said.

The police team unearthed the network under the supervision of SP city division Hassan Raza Khaki, Delhi Gate SDPO Mehr Wasim and others. Delhi, Haram and Lohari Gate police stations arrested ten suspects, including nine gang members and one pickpocketer.
