Two cops killed, as many injured in Kandhkot check-post attack
Bodies and the injured cops were shifted to a hospital
SUKKUR: Two policemen were killed and as many were injured in an attack on a check-post by dacoits in district Kashmore-Kandhkot on Wednesday.
According to police sources, a gang of dacoits attacked Daddar check-post in Kandhkot, in which two on-duty policemen were killed, while two others, including an ASI were injured. Later, the dacoits escaped to the Kutcha area. The bodies and the injured cops were shifted to a hospital. The deceased cops included Allah Dino Sabzoi and Nisar Ahmad Kalhoro, while Zahid Nasirani and ASI Anwar Channa were among the injured.
Police cop Aamir Dahar, who survived the attack, claimed that in the retaliatory firing of the police, Mendhro, brother of Imdad Bhayo, a gang leader of the dacoits, was also killed but his accomplices took away his body.
Larkana DIG Nasir Aftab Pathan said the search operation to recover the deceased dacoit’s body was underway and the police in this regard had arrested some suspects.
