LAHORE:On the direction of Lahore Development Authority Director General Tahir Farooq, LDA teams conducted a special operation against illegal constructions and commercialisation fee defaulters here on Monday.
The LDA teams sealed seven properties for non-payment of commercialisation fees and demolished one property for illegal construction. The operation was conducted in Allama Iqbal Town and controlled area Multan Road under the direction of Chief Town Planning I Asad Zaman. Director Town Planning Naveed Bhatti took action against illegal constructions/ commercialisation fee defaulters in Allama Iqbal Town.
During the operation, LDA teams demolished the construction on Plot No 24 Nizam Block, Allama Iqbal Town while properties on Plot No 41 Asif Block, Plot No 14 Chenab Block, Plot No 1051 Ravi Block were sealed. Plot No 23 Jahanzeb Block, Plot No 349 Sutlej Block, Plot No 568 Umar Block were sealed.
Asad Zaman said that several under-construction properties on Multan Road and LDA controlled area were also sealed. The properties included grocery shops, sanitary & electric store, milk shop, real estate office, steel workshop, private offices and other properties. He said millions of rupees were due towards the sealed properties under the head of commercialisation fee and several notices were given to the owners.
