LAHORE:A 12-year-old boy was electrocuted to death after he came in contact with an electric pole in the Singhpura area of Shalimar on Thursday. The victim’s younger sister was also injured.
The relatives said that the victim Ali Hassan along with his sister Zoya was going to the market when the tragic incident happened. Ali Hasan died due to electrocution and his sister Zoya was also affected but her condition was out of danger.
The relatives and other people blocked the area by keeping victim’s body on the road and started protesting. Police said that the victim was the eldest of two brothers and two sisters. The protestors said that they would continue the protest until the issue of electric current in the poles was resolved by Lesco.
Pedestrian hit to death
A 22-year-old pedestrian was killed and three others were injured when a speeding car overturned in Manawan area on Thursday. The victim was identified as Bilal. The injured car riders were shifted to a local hospital and the body was removed to the morgue.
In another incident, a four-year-old girl was killed by the speeding vehicle in front of a hospital’s emergency on Thursday.
Reportedly, the girl was playing on the footpath outside the emergency when the vehicle of the local government ran over the footpath and crushed the girl to death. People caught the driver and handed over him to the police.
